College of the North Atlantic – Qatar (CNA-Q) is very pleased to welcome students back to campus for the upcoming academic year. In an effort to combat COVID-19, there will be a mix of in-person and remote learning at the College. If they are on campus, students are asked to engage in proper behavior to help fight COVID-19, this includes social distancing, wearing masks, and washing hands. More than 3,200 students, including more than 300 Applied Bachelor degree students are attending the College this year.
“I encourage students to take an active role in their CNA-Q experience,” said CNA-Q Acting President Dr. Salem Al-Naemi. “We have a wide variety of choices here on campus, from our world class athletic facilities, including male and female gymnasiums and swimming pools, to an exciting selection of student clubs, there are several opportunities to enrich the educational experience.”
For the first time, CNA-Q will welcome applied Bachelor degree students to campus. The College recently introduced a Bachelor of Applied Science Degree in Maintenance Engineering Technology, a Bachelor of Applied Business Administration Degree in Human Resource Management, and a Bachelor of Applied Science Degree in Medical Radiography.
“Applied degrees provide a mix of theory and analytical skills with career-oriented, practical education and training,” said Dr. Al-Naemi.
“They are a response to the growing industry need for highly-skilled, work-ready graduates. CNA-Q is very pleased to be able to help the State of Qatar fill that need.”
CNA-Q has graduated thousands of students from more than 35 certificate and diploma programs tailored to meet the needs of Qatar’s growing and changing economy, in the fields of: Business Management and Information Technology, Engineering Technology and Industrial Trades and Health Sciences. All programs follow the Canadian curriculum, and are developed with input from local industry and business stakeholders, and are taught by international instructors with extensive industry experience.
