Time

You must arrive at the CNA-Q Building 3 or Building 5 Registration Desk between 7:30 am and 8:45 am. The test starts at 9:00 am. Anyone arriving after 8:45 am is marked ‘Absent” and will not be able to take the test. There are no transfers or refunds.

ID Document

You must bring the same ID you registered with on test day. If you bring a photocopy of the ID, or a different ID / passport, you will not be allowed to write the test. There are no transfers or refunds.

What to Bring

Bring the original ID that you registered with. Bringing a different ID, no ID or a photocopied ID means you will not write the test and will be marked ‘Absent’. You are only allowed to bring your original ID.  The CNA-Q IELTS Centre provides pencils/pens, erasers and water.

What to do on Test Day

You should be sure to:

  1. Put all your personal belongings into a locker. No mobile phones, keys, wallets, watches, paper, pens/pencils, or other items are allowed in the test room.
  2. Go to the Registration Desk with your original ID.
  3. Complete registration. If necessary, the CNA-Q IELTS Centre will take your photo and fingerprint scan.
  4. Visit the toilet before you enter the test room. There is no extra time for a toilet break.
  5. Go through the security check. A security guard will use a handheld metal detector to check for electronic devices.
  6. At 8:30 am, show your ID, verify your identity and enter the test room.

Remember:

  1. Bring the same ID you registered with on test day.
  2. Check the expiry date of your ID. If you have given your passport to an embassy for visa purposes, ensure you will receive your passport in time for the test. Bringing a different ID, no ID or a photocopied ID means you will not write the test and will be marked “Absent”. There are no transfers or refunds.
  3. Turn off your mobile phone(s) and put them in a locker. Bringing a mobile phone into the test room is not allowed under any circumstance. Do not bring any electronic devices into the test room.
  4. Do not cheat, copy the work of other candidates, talk to other candidates or disrupt the test in any way.
  5. Stop writing after you are instructed to put your pencils down.
  6. You must have approval from the IELTS Administrator to bring medicine, medicinal food or drink, caps/hats, eyeglass cases etc. into the test room.

Speaking Test

  1. Arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled Speaking Test time.
  2. Bring the same ID you registered with to the speaking test. Bringing a different ID, no ID or a photocopied ID means you will not write the test and will be marked “Absent”. There are no transfers or refunds.
  3. You are not allowed to take belongings inside the Speaking Test room. You must turn off your mobile phone and leave all personal belongings at the registration desk.
  4. Leave the test venue immediately after your test is over. Under no circumstances are you allowed to speak with other candidates who are waiting to do their Speaking Test.

Going to the toilet

  1. Raise your hand
  2. Give your ID to the invigilator
  3. Scan your fingerprint
  4. The invigilator will guide you to the toilet
  5. The invigilator will check the stall before and after you use it.
  6. Return to the test room and scan your fingerprint again.


        

How do I get my results?

Results are available 13 days after the test. You can check your results online here 13 days after the test.

For a Saturday test, results are normally available for pick up at our IELTS Centre on the second Thursday after the test at 12:00 pm (noon).

Provisional results are sent by SMS to candidates who sign the SMS Request Form.

Official results are issued on a Test Report Form (TRF), which you must pick up from the CNA-Q ILETS Centre. You receive one copy for yourself. You can request that multiple copies are sent to recognizing organizations (Universities, Colleges and Immigration Departments)

How do I send copies of my TRF to other institutions?

When you register online, you can add up to five recognizing organizations to your application. The CNA-Q IELTS Centre will send copies of your TRF to these institutions. If you need to send more TRFs, complete the Application for the Issue of Additional TRFS form with the appropriate fees.

What do I do if I lose my Test Report Form?

IELTS policy stipulates that candidates receive only one copy of the Test Report Form. No exceptions.

Can I send someone to get them for me?

Yes. You need to complete an Authorisation Form. The person picking up your results must bring the completed Authorization Form, your original ID used on test day, and their own ID.

What can I do if I am unhappy with my results?

You may apply for an Enquiry on Results (EoR) within six weeks of test date.  Please complete the IELTS Enquiry on Results form and pay the fee.  The fee is refunded if your band score increases.
