Sometimes, personal issues affect students' academic success and everyday life. Counsellors work collaboratively with students to help them resolve their problems and learn new life skills. Counsellors help students explore options, identify goals and develop plans related to personal, family, financial, and/or relationship concerns.
Peer tutoring is a one-on-one academic support program where students help fellow students. Classmates who excel in a certain subject share their knowledge with those who need extra support, in a relaxed environment. This service is free to students while peer tutors are paid as student employees.
Counsellors offer a variety of workshops and awareness campaigns to promote overall student wellness that extends beyond the classroom. There are regular activities on campus to address stress management, mental health, physical wellbeing and cultural respect.
