The PALS course builds on the foundation of lifesaving BLS for Healthcare Providers skills, emphasizing the importance of continuous, high-quality CPR.

This course highlights the importance of team dynamics and communication, and management of respiratory, shock and cardiac events in the pediatric population. PALS also covers airway management and related pharmacology.

Target audience:

PALS is designed for healthcare professionals who either direct or participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest or other cardiovascular emergencies in infants and children. This includes personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care and critical care units such as physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists and paramedics, as well as others who require PALS certification for job or other requirements.

Self-assessment with the PALS pre-test.
