Qatari Youth Club (QYC) hosts poetry event
Passion, teamwork, working hard and planning – these are the skills that the Qatari Youth Club (QYC) have had from the beginning. Our vision is to embrace our culture and what we represent for Qatar. That is why we decided to bring poetry back to campus. For over a year there were no Qatari poetry events. On February 28 it was decided by the QYC President that the club would plan for this. We decided as a team to host "Morning Poet", with two famous poets in the Gulf: Sultan Al- Shried from Kuwait and Salman bin Khalid from Qatar.

On November 22nd and 23rd Student Affairs hosted a new event called "Polyglot", the purpose of which was to promote Polyglotism (i.e., the ability to master and use many languages). The event was the brainchild of Ayah Antepli, Arabic Mentor in Student Affairs, and included snacks, games and a Language Corner where Polyglots (volunteers of students and staff who speak different languages) were available for students to learn and practice their languages. Two Japanese guests were on site and gained lots of attraction.
