Mr. Shawn Brace has essentially spent his entire career in finance and administration in the education sector starting in 1988 as the Administrative Officer at the former Central Newfoundland Community College in Grand Falls Windsor. In 1990, he accepted employment in the K- 12 education sector in Newfoundland and Labrador and held the position of Assistant Director for Finance and Administration for 20 years with the Nova Central School District prior to joining College of the North Atlantic Qatar in October 2010.

The position of Assistant Director for Finance and Administration provided invaluable experience in the management areas of Finance and Administration, Facilities Management, Information Technology, Human Resources, and Pupil Transportation.

His formal education began with a college Diploma of Applied Arts in accounting from the Central Newfoundland Community College. In 1990, he enrolled in the Certified General Accountants program of studies and was awarded the CGA (Certified General Accountant) professional accounting designation in September, 2000. In partnership with the Certified General Accountants Association and the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology, he has completed the Applied Business Administration Degree with a major in Information Technology in August, 2007.
