Dr. Ken MacLeod - President

Dr. Ken MacLeod was appointed President of the College of the North Atlantic Qatar (CNA-Q) campus in August of 2010.  He has over 30 years experience as an educator, educational entrepreneur, and educational administrator in both the private and public sectors. Before becoming President of CNA-Q, Ken held positions as the President of LearnCorp International, and Director of International Programs and Partnerships at Cape Breton University, Nova Scotia, Canada.  In addition to his undergraduate degree in Science and his Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Education, he holds a Ph.D. in Computing Technology in Education from Nova Southeastern University, where he was recognized as the Distinguished Alumnus of the Year.

Ken is no stranger to international education or the Middle East.  During the course of his career, he has provided leadership for a number of international education and training projects including: establishing partnerships in China and Malaysia; co-founding Cape Breton University’s Associate Campus, the Canadian International College, in Cairo, Egypt; and establishing an advanced training center in Papua New Guinea for ExxonMobil Global Training Operations.

Ken appreciates that providing leadership to Qatar’s premier technical college and helping to determine the College’s role in the State’s transition to a knowledge-based economy, is a privilege and an opportunity in a country where everything is possible.
