CNA-Q Recycling Launch - June 3rd, 2008

Instead of throwing paper/cardboard in the garbage, put it in a green recycling bin. Compete with other departments to see who can gather the most recyclables in two hours!

WHEN: June 3, 2008 at 11:30-1:30
WHERE: CNA-Q Courtyard
WHY: Reduce waste and save natural resources! Help protect Qatar, its environment and its people.

Resources saved per ton of recycled paper:

  • 17 trees
  • 275 pounds of sulphur
  • 350 pounds of limestone
  • 9,000 pounds of steam
  • 60,000 gallons of water
  • 225 kilowatt hours of energy
  • 3.3 cubic yards of landfill space

All students and staff are encouraged to participate. Compete against other departments to see which one can recycle the most on a per capita basis

Join us in the CNA-Q courtyard June 3 at 11:30 with all of your paper products to launch the recycling initiative. Look forward to seeing you at this milestone event!

After the launch event, the green recycling bins will be placed around campus. Be sure to note their locations!

The launch of paper/cardboard recycling is the first phase of a sustainability campaign at the College of North Atlantic - Qatar to reduce, reuse, recycle. Stay tuned for more!

Oil and Gas Training Centre Opening - June 11th, 2008

CNA-Q is proud to announce the official opening of the Oil and Gas Training Centre. This new training centre is the largest facility of its kind in the region and will be utilized by students from our School of Engineering Technology and Technical Preparatory Program.

The grand opening will take place on site in building 8, Duhail Campus, June 11, 2008.

CNA-Q celebrates our Class of 2008! - June 19, 2008

This will be the largest graduating class ever for CNA-Q with more than 250 graduates. Celebrate with us as we honour this milestone in CNA-Q history.

Our graduates will be taking with them the knowledge, skills and problem-solving abilities they have developed here and make their mark on the development of the State of Qatar.

We offer our congratulations to the Class of 2008 and look forward to celebrating with them on June 19.
