This course is designed to introduce the student to the concepts of gas chromatography (GC) and includes fundamentals of chromatographic theory, instrument components with an emphasis on capillary column chromatography, calculations, applications and troubleshooting.
In the lab portion of the course, the student will get hands on experience with operating a gas chromatograph including proper sample handling techniques, safe operating techniques, data analysis and calculations.
